A Multi-Village Water Supply Scheme (MVS) is a large-scale rural infrastructure project, often under India's Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), that pipes safe drinking water from a common source to multiple nearby villages, addressing water scarcity and contamination by creating regional water grids with treatment plants and pipelines to provide piped water to all households.
